Whether keynoting or delivering her one-woman show, Jaymie Meyer’s
performances include inspirational true stories that are both humorous
and poignant. Her extensive experience as an actress, singer, writer and
spokesperson makes her an outstanding communicator.
Jaymie’s one-woman show received the BISTRO Award for Outstanding Female
Vocalist and the New York Native Outstanding Solo Performer Award. New
York City appearances include: Carnegie Hall's Weill Recital Hall, The
Firebird, Danny's Skylight Room, the Mabel Mercer Cabaret Conventions,
ASCAP Songwriter's Showcases (NY and LA), and the Russian Tea Room. She
has appeared solo at the Kennedy Center and the Corcoran Gallery in
Washington, DC.
She is a professional member of the National Speakers Association, the
Int’l Federation of Public Speaking and an award-winning member of the
Graybar Toastmasters Club in NYC. As a corporate spokesperson, she has
toured nationally in Industrial Shows for AT&T and Canon. Industrial
film and voice over clients include IBM, ITT, Memorial Sloan Kettering
and Price Waterhouse.
Her debut CD What You’d Call A Dream earned fine reviews in Billboard
and Playbill and received airplay throughout the US and Europe. The late Wes McAfee was the musical director and
arranger on the CD. She was featured with Michael Murphy on a PBS
Broadcast of their Brownville Concert Series appearance. Jaymie made her
recording debut on a CD entitled This Life, featuring the music of
Portia Nelson.
On stage, she has appeared in leading roles at LaMama, Mill Mountain
Theatre, Commonwealth Musical Stage, Berkshire Theatre Festival,
Syracuse Stage, Theater in the Park, Plays for Living and a solo
engagement at Yale University. TV appearances include: One Life to Live
and Another World. She was a guest vocalist on the Charles Grodin Show.
In addition, Jaymie is a certified wellness practitioner, stress
management counselor and Ayurveda educator. She has been bringing
wellness programs to corporations and to individuals for the past ten
